HSE and quality policy
EnergyX is committed to protecting the environment, safeguarding HSE and delivering high quality.
Our goal is to continue to improve our sustainability practices and maintain our commitment to promote a more sustainable future for all. We are aware that this is a continuous process and that it requires the commitment and cooperation of all employees in the company, as well as our customers and partners.
Through our involvement in Smart Seaweed Solutions, we are working to develop future solutions for kelp cultivation on an industrial scale. Two-thirds of the earth's surface is covered by sea. This is a blue field from which we can harvest much more. Kelp is used for food, animal feed, fertilizer and bioenergy. But as the world's population continues to grow, more people need food, and the kelp forest can make a positive contribution in this respect. Kelp is the world's most sustainable plant, absorbing carbon dioxide and nitrogen and adding oxygen, thus contributing to a better marine environment.
We are aware that the world's consumption of natural resources is currently unsustainable, and we aim to help improve this by reducing the amount of waste and energy consumption generated by our operations. To achieve these goals, we focus on material recycling, source separation and avoiding emissions of chemicals and waste to the external environment. We also work continuously to reduce deviations and waste in our production chain. To reduce energy consumption, we will implement targeted measures.
As a technology developer in many different areas, we at EnergyX will contribute to the development of high-quality sustainable solutions that ensure more efficient use of resources through the use of new technology. Through innovation, we will increase the level of knowledge in the business areas we work in and be a driving force for the development of new solutions to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We will also use new technology internally where appropriate to achieve these goals.
EnergyX shall operate respectfully and responsibly with regard to human rights and decent working conditions in its own company as well as with subcontractors and customers. Due diligence shall be carried out when suspected violations of human rights and decent working conditions, both internally, in supply chains and with other business partners. If we discover conditions that have a negative impact on people and their working conditions, we shall try to stop, reduce or prevent this. Both the work of analyzing risks and the measures taken following any findings shall be carried out by the Board of Directors or the CEO, shall be shared openly and be easily accessible to the public.
HSE
We have a zero philosophy in relation to accidents and injuries, and therefore have a goal of zero work-related injuries or work-related sick leave. To achieve this, we will create a good working environment by living our core values, exercising good leadership and working well together internally. We shall keep ourselves continuously updated on and comply with statutory requirements and other requirements that the organization imposes on itself. We follow up our subcontractors to ensure a safe working environment, and we make our knowledge available to improve their HSE work.
Quality
EnergyX's quality system is documented and certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. Quality concerns all parts of the organization all the way to the end customer and is subject to continuous improvement. To achieve the expected quality, we must have good communication internally and with our customers and suppliers, so that changes and new needs can be met quickly. Our services shall be characterized by the fact that they are performed by professionally competent personnel. We regard our suppliers as our partners, where the most important criterion is quality. To ensure good quality, we continuously monitor our suppliers, including through deviation measurements and audits.
